About Our Workshops

Our workshops are an extension of our offerings that support communities to navigate end-of-life issues through creative and arts-based approaches. Each workshop is thoughtfully designed for a specific audience to support their journey in living well, and leaving well.

For Seniors

  • Piece of Mine is an 8-week workshop series that offers seniors a space to reflect on their values, wishes, and legacies. Through guided conversations and creative activities, participants will experience guided self-discovery and gain clarity on their end-of-life decisions. With skilful facilitation from an artist-facilitator, Piece of Mine provides a supportive environment for participants to express themselves and build meaningful social connections.

For Care Practitioners

  • Initiating conversations about end-of-life (EOL) matters can be challenging. This full-day workshop aims to boost self-competence among care practitioners in facilitating difficult conversations with patients, clients, and caregivers through an arts-based, experiential approach. Participants will have ample opportunity to develop their EOL communication skills, engage in meaningful reflection, and have insightful discussions with fellow participants.

Community Voices

“The workshop was most useful in enabling me to confront my own fears and limitations to initiate end-of-life conversations.”
